Update: Zope 2.9.2 ist draußen

Wiki und Trouble-Ticket-System

Für EDV- und Support-Abteilungen vielleicht einen Test wert? Trac (GPL) ist ein Wiki mit integriertem Trouble-Ticket-System. Trac arbeitet mit Subversion zusammen und benötigt als Datenbanksystem entweder SQLite oder PostgreSQL. Da Trac ( ) in Python ( ) geschrieben wurde, benötigt es das Python-API zu Subversion. Außerdem nutzt Trac das Clearsilver-Template-System.

MacPython für Dumme (wie mich)

Wenn man nicht immer auf die (längst obsolete — wie ich seit gestern weiß) MacPyhon Site von Jack Jansen schaut, sondern sich mal wieder auf Python.org verirrt (weil man zum Beispiel ein neues MacBook Pro mit Software betanken will), dann findet man dort ein wenig versteckt eine Seite zu MacPython, auf der man auch die lange vermißte MacPython IDE wiederfindet, ein Python 2.4.1 für den Tiger (und für den Panther) runterladen kann und so ein Python installiert bekommt, das mit den Packages von Bob Ippolito zusammenarbeitet. Für mich speziell heißt das: PIL, die Python Image Library, und PyGame spielen wieder mit mir.

Und ab MacPython 2.4.2 soll das Ganze auch als Universal Binaries laufen...

Python Goes Middleware

Pythomnic (Open Source, MIT-Lizenz) ist ein komplett in Python geschriebenes EAI-Framework (Enterprise Application Integration). Die Funktionsvielfalt der mitgelieferten Module braucht sich nicht hinter kommerziellen Applikationen zu verstecken. Allerdings läßt die Dokumentation noch zu wünschen übrig. [c't]

Movable Python zum Zweiten

Über Movable Python (ca. 7,50 €), der Python-IDE auf einem USB-Stick, hatte ich vor ein paar Tagen geschrieben und dabei bedauert, daß es dieses nette Tool nicht für Mac OS X gibt. Jetzt schreibt der Macher in seinem Blog: »By the way, most of the Movable Python code is platform independent, except for the fact that it uses py2exe. I would be interested on collaborating with anyone wanting to create a Mac version using py2app.«

  Irgend jemand interessiert?

Und zur Unterstützung dieses Projekts erkläre ich Movable Python zum »Google des Tages«.

Python On a Stick

Movable Python (ca. € 7,50) ist eine vollständige Python ( )-Umgebung mit graphischer Benutzeroberfläche, die sich von einem USB-Stick starten läßt. Aber leider nur unter Windows. Wann gibt es so etwas für den Mac?

Python und PyGame auf dem Nokia 770

Ludger ist es gelungen, Python und PyGame auf dem Nokia 770 zum Laufen zu bringen.

Danach hat er dann Stifte und Mäuse aus der Diplomarbeit von Ingo Linkweiler auf dem Nokia implementiert. Das beliebte Huhnspiel (unser heutiger Beitrag zum Thema »Vogelgrippe«) lief jedenfalls sofort.

Und er zeigt auch noch einen Screenshot mit Python auf dem iPod... [Ludger H. per Email.]
