Trac Hacks: RSS Dashboard Widget for Mac OS X

Nette Idee: »This is a simple widget for the Dashboard in OS X Tiger which allows you to view your ticket reports. It lists all tickets from an RSS feed in Trac by ticket number and title. When you click on a title it brings you to the respective ticket page on your Trac site. Also included is a quick link to add new tickets. Jeder sein eigener YouTube (mit Plone)

Plumi ist ein Plone-basierte, freie Video-Sharing-Plattform out of the box. Es ist ein weiterer Versuch, ein demokratisches Internet-TV zu schaffen. Noch ist es eine frühe Version, aber eine Demo-Site gibt es schon und die Entwickler von Plumi betreiben selber EngaMedia.org, eine soziale und ökologisch engagierte Video-Sharing-Plattform für Australien, Südost-Asien und den pazifischen Raum. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich mich noch einmal auf ein Plone-Experiment einlassen soll, aber Plumi ist definitiv einen Blick wert. [Danke an Kai D. für den Hinweis.]

Xtreme Mashup-Ing

Really Mashed Up: »There are plenty of web sites that use one or two APIs to add spice to their content and design, but Niall Kennedy's startupsearch.org, a site that tracks Web 2.0 startups, has more API bling than most. Written in Python using the Django framework, Niall used our YUI library for web pages, Flickr to display company images, Yahoo! Pipes to create custom product data feeds, and the Yahoo! Search Site Explorer API to keep track of inbound web links to product domains. He also used a number of Google and Amazon APIs as well as APIs from some smaller companies.
